By Justin Kahmann, Co-Founder of Innovative Building & Design · Updated November 2026
Homes across the Valley deal with long, hot summers and monsoon wind and rain, and those conditions wear on roofs over time. Full disclosure: Innovative Building & Design wrote this guide and listed itself first, so every claim below about IBD is one you can check.
About Us: Innovative Building & Design (IBD)
This section is about the company that wrote this guide.
Innovative Building & Design is a family-owned exterior contractor that has served Minnesota and Wisconsin homeowners since 2008, from Blaine, MN and Eau Claire, WI. In 2026, IBD began serving the Phoenix area, including Peoria. In Arizona, IBD repairs and replaces roofs and siding on existing homes as Innovative Building & Design LLC, ROC #369130 (B-3 General Remodeling and Repair Contractor, residential). We offer free inspections.
We are new to Arizona, and the other companies in this guide have years of local work you can look up. What we bring is nearly two decades of exterior work in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Every job gets a written contract and a photo report of what we found.

How to Choose a Roofing Contractor in Peoria
- Check the Arizona license. Search the company name or ROC number on the Arizona Registrar of Contractors contractor search. Confirm the name matches the company you are talking to, the license is active, and the classification covers the work.
- Ask about your roof type. Tile, shingle, foam and flat roofs each need different repair skills. Ask which ones the crew works on regularly.
- Get it in writing. A written estimate and contract should name the roof system, materials, price and schedule.
- Ask who does the work. Employees or subcontractors, and whether any subcontractor holds its own Arizona license.
- Check permits. Ask the contractor whether your project needs a permit from the City of Peoria.
- Take your time. You do not have to sign on the first visit.
